Hi! My name is Kara Bazzi and I work in the University District of Seattle, WA. I offer counseling services to individuals, couples and families who are struggling with eating disorders, negative body image, depression, anxiety, identity issues, spiritual concerns, issues between adolescents and parents, and blended families. My training is in working with family systems and treating from a holistic approach.

My passion is helping those find freedom from the controlling grip of an eating disorder. From those who struggle with negative body image to those who engage in eating disorder behaviors, I want to offer support and guidance towards living a more abundant life.

Coming from an athletic background, I also feel very impassioned to help athletes whose body and eating concerns are detrimental to their athletic performance. I understand the anxiety brought on by performance expectations and enjoy helping athletes bring back joy to their sport.

Lastly, I have experience working with young children and enjoy family therapy. I especially desire to help increase effective communication between all family members for the goal of building trust and honest communication. I particularly like working with families who have been affected by divorce and are re-negotiating roles in a blended family-type situation.

Please take time to look through my site if you are interested in learning more about my practice…Thank you!
